A 140 minute metaphysical head-trip!
I caught a DVD screener of this film, a festival entry that was being passed around. What a weird movie! A 140 minute metaphysical head-trip! I could follow most of the stuff as it was happening, but I never knew what to expect next. It kept me guessing all the while. When the film was finally over, I thought I had it all figured out, but when I was about to describe it to a friend, it became clear to me that I didn't know a thing about it. I mean, I couldn't put it into words... but, in my mind, I still thought I "got it". Which brings me to my point. This movie can't be described. Like the best art, it has to be experienced. For all of you who have an opportunity to see it, I hope you have the benefit of a pause and rewind button ;) Some of the dialog is like a logical vortex and needs to be unraveled for the ensuing plot to make any sense, or at least to appear to make sense ;) Anyway, it's surrealism at its finest!
